Community Guidelines & Rules
- Do NOT talk about malicious, illegal, harmful or bigoted content anywhere on this wiki, especially not the user pages. This includes pirated content, communnity run game servers, hate speech,
- Do NOT get into arguments about the validity of a game as a rhythm game, we have sub-categorisation for this for a reason. Please discuss it in a mindful manner on talk pages or over in the Discord.
- Do NOT engage in Editing Wars on this wiki.
- Do NOT get into arguments on talk pages. Do not bring arguments into the community Discord.
- Do NOT write about or mention personal information of other users of this wiki or the community Discord.

New Page Rules
- Use romanized titles with proper capitalisation. Try to avoid special characters in titles. Full caps is allowed if the title is a single word.
- ONLY create pages for full series of games. Do NOT make pages for each game seperately.
- Games with only a single released game in the series, are allowed to have their "own" page.
- If a spin-off or subseries has significantly different gameplay, it counts as a different series and requires its own pages. If not, please discuss over in the Discord if a talk page would create an article that is unsure how to be named/categorized.
- For example; the original Noisz is a bullet hell with rhythm game elements, while the sequel Noisz Starlight is a rhythm game with bullet hell elements. These go on the same page.
- For example; the DJMax series has a few mainline games which have differing gameplay. Most of them are VSRGs, while DJMax Technika is not in any way. These do get their separate spin-off page, but are allowed to be listed in the release list on the main page.
- Do NOT create pages on games that advertise themselves as, or include content from, other games
- Games that clearly are meant to emulate the gameplay of another officially released game will need to be marked and categorized appropriately.
- Do NOT mass create pages without any information or tiny stubs.
- Mark cancelled, to-be-released and early access games appropriately.
- Please use the format below as starting basis for your articles, to keep a form of cohesion in the project.
Page Format Guidelines
This format is the bare minimum a new page needs to contain:
- Informational introduction text
- A box with quick data on the subject
- Description of how the gameplay works, if the page is about a game series.
- A video showcasing the gameplay.
- Releases in franchise, if the page is about a game series.

- Do NOT link to malicious, illegal, harmful or bigoted content. This includes pirated content, communnity run game servers, official content in other games.

- Every series is required to have a video showing off gameplay. More information below.
- If a video is absolutely impossible to be found, a few screenshots will do.
Gameplay Video Guidelines
- Use videos which show the most important parts of the gameplay.
- Use videos with minimal to no talking over the gameplay.
- If the game uses a specific kind of controller or control style that is different from just a pc-keyboard, mainline gamepad or mobile phone, try to include this in the video.
- Use self created videos over random videos found online when possible.
- When creating videos and it is not possible to screen capture directly, do not use footage that is shaky, blurry or unstable.
- Videos used in articles are restricted to YouTube and NicoNico uploads.
- Do NOT upload videos to this wiki directly. This is to keep server size in check.
- Official trailers or commercials for a game showing gameplay is allowed to be included, but try to not use it as the primary gameplay video.
- Do NOT add game reviews to articles.
- Do NOT use this as an opportunity to simply show off your rhythm game scores and skill. Showing the gameplay of the game, how it is used and what is its unique identity are the main focus of these videos.
File Upload Rules
- Do NOT upload game assets, including sprites, code, or datamined files, without permission. Game assets are hard to describe for use under our copyleft Creative Commons license, as game assets are subject to copyright by the original developers and publishers.

- Do NOT upload malicious, illegal, harmful or bigoted content.
- Please try to categorize files in their respective categories.
- Please try to keep filesize small. We do not need 4K resolution logos of every game.
