Sound Shooting!! - Rhythm Shooter (オトシュー) (styled as SOUND SHOOTING!!) is a bullet hell rhythm game developed by EZDAEMON. The game is notable for its main character, Melody, being voiced by Nanahira.
Gameplay
Sound Shooting consists of horizontal 2D bullet hell shooter sections, interrupted by vertical scrolling rhythm game sections. You can move around your character in the bullet hell sections freely. You hold down the button to shoot at enemies. Along the way, various power-ups can be found or are dropped by defeated enemies. At various points in the song the bullet hell gameplay pauses, announced by a countdown, to transition to a standard vertical scrolling rhythm game section. Here you tap short notes and hold notes to the beat to gain extra score. At the end of each rhythm game section is a wide note which spans the whole playfield. When hit, it ends the rhythm game section and explodes all enemies on screen, which are still visible in the background during rhythm game play.
After finishing a song and reviewing the score, you get to play a small auto runner minigame, where you collect shop currency (MB) to unlock new songs and upgrades. The character runs by herself and you tap to jump to catch currency floating in the air.
